I must agree with the delusion factor that you describe. We all need basic funds for necessities like food and shelter however anything more than that just contributes to a mass delusion and attachment to material objects when the knowledge and wisdom is worth much more allowing you to achieve riches many times over than just accepting a check in the mail a few times a month. "Give a homeless person $5 to not go hungry tonight, or teach him to fish and they may never experience hunger again!"

In Greek mythology, Paris has to choose 'the fairest' of three goddesses. Each tries to bribe him. Hera offers him untold riches; Athena offers glory and victory in war; Aphrodite offers erotic love in the form of Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris chooses Aphrodite's gift. That might well have been the choice of the wisest of men. I agree, though, that the consumerist mythology we've imbibed gives us an illusory view of the nature of human happiness.

@DMCpro6944 you have to get rid of you negative beliefs that are keeping you from manifesting what you want. Ask your self , why do you think your not getting results? Are you thinking "There is no way this can happen for me?" Check out "The Work" with Byron Katie, she has a questioning method to get rid of your negative beliefs.

I dont believe that at all, if you manifest nice things you say bad things will happen to you? Take a look at Bob Proctor, he manifested a great life for him self, as did others. The secret is not just about you getting things and thats it, its about giving back some of what you do get to help others. Its about being greatful for everything that you have in your life now. Also you just can't wish you had something and it appears, you have to become clear about your beliefs.
